College Football Kicks Off!

I'll be in Tennessee this weekend so unable to really dig deep into the games this week, but looking at Friday Nights TCU vs Baylor game with Baylor a 5 point dog.

TCU beat up on Baylor last season 45-10 but is without QB Andy Dalton, who probably wishes he stayed in college rather than the beating he will take with the Bengals this year.

Baylor is sure to be fired up for the home opener against a Nationally ranked #14 TCU team, and QB Robert Griffin III showed flashes of stardom last year. Speaking of flash, Josh Gordon, A.K.A Flash Gordon returns to Baylor with Kendall Wright for the vertical passing game that should stretch out the tough TCU Defense, which is only returning 4 starters from last year.

The Pick: Take the Baylor Bears at +5 with Potential for an Upset Win to Gain Some Early national Recognition for an Up and Coming Team

NFL Team Props

A few of the Team props worth shot:

1) Cincinnati Bengals Win Total - Under 5 and 1/2 at -165 - I'd be Surprised to See them Win 2 Games

2) Detroit Lions Win Total - Over 7 and 1/2 at -190 - With Stafford Healthy I See a 9 Win Season

3) Minnesota Vikings Win Total - Under 7 at -105 - Team in Transition, Expect Defenses to Put 8 in the Box to Stop Peterson, No Real Threats

4) Oakland Raiders Win Total - Over 6 and 1/2 at -115 - Oakland was 6-0 in Division Play Last Year and a Team on the Rise with a Energetic New Coach in Hue Jackson. Most of the teams weapons are returning, aside from Zach Miller and Nnamdi, expect the Defense to shut people down and Jason Campbell to have a strong year with him now familiar with the system.

5) SF 49ers Win Total - Under 7 and 1/2 at -125 - You simply can't win in this league with Alex Smith at QB and the Rookie is not ready to do much either

6) Tennessee Titan Win Total - Over 6 and 1/2 at -125 - With a strong Defense and two of the most electrifying offensive players in the league with Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt, expect the team to score, and a Veteran QB, though I think Jake Locker can be outstanding as a rookie.
