College Football Saturday Match-Ups

Akron +34 vs. Ohio St - Ohio St. is in a mess and I will take a 34 point underdog in the opener.

Stanford -30 vs. San Jose St. - Andrew Luck starts his Heisman bid with a blowout against an over-matched Spartans team that is whack from the WAC. No Gerard Butler or Trojan Horse to save the day here. Stanford comes out with a statement game, and looking forward to the Oregon match-up later this season.

Oklahoma -25 vs Tulsa - Oklahoma simply has too many weapons on offense and will look to put up 60 on a weak Hurricanes defense. Tulsa can put up points, but without star receiver Damaris Johnson after a felony embezzlement charge, the team is likely to struggle even with the Sooners missing some key Defensive players due to injury.

Georgia +3.5 vs. Boise St. - Boise St. wants to prove they can hang with the big guns in the SEC, and expect them to be fired up, and with QB Kellen Moore, he simply wins football games, although will be missing many of his weapons that moved on to the NFL this season, Titus Young and Austin Pettis. Aaron Moore looked great at Georgia as a Freshman QB and a big home game to start the year (lost top weapon AJ Green to NFL), but Georgia may be looking ahead to South Carolina, a big rival in week 2. I like the #5 Broncos to win in a close one and fail to cover the spread. The game will be in the Georgia Dome, so the crowd could play a factor, and should be a very exciting game.
