The Match-Up: Arizona visit #9 Oklahoma St. in a rematch of the Alamo Bowl when Oklahoma St. beat Arizona 36-10 with 4 costly turnovers.
The Line: Ok. St. -14.5 vs. Arizona
Preview:
Oklahoma St. is a team I picked in the preseason as a legitimate contender for the National Title, already excited for that December 3rd game vs Oklahoma which could be a battle for #1.
Justin Blackmon is not only the best WR in College Football this year, but he is the best college WR I have EVER seen play the game. His skills and athleticism are incredible and he can not be single covered. Brandon Weeden is a more than capable QB and Joseph Randle is an exciting Sophomore RB. There is no doubt that the Cowboys will be able to put up 30 points on the Wildcats, and this should be a shootout.
Arizona comes in with Nick Foles, the star QB with Juron Criner his top target coming off a big game against an under-matched Northern Arizona squad with Foles throwing for 412 yards. Oklahoma St.'s run defense is one of the best in college football, but its pass defense can be suspect, and Arizona is a throwing team, so that match-up could allow for the Wildcats to put some points on the board. The schedule makers must have it out for Arizona, because following this tough match-up they face Stanford and Oregon, so a fairly good team could very well start the season 0-3. There are reports that Criner could miss the game with an "illness" and if that is the case it would deal a major blow to the Wildcats chances.
The Pick: Arizona +14.5 at OK. St. (If Criner is ruled out I would take OK St. -14.5)
Final Score Prediction: OK St. 38 Arizona 24
