Aside from the obvious here are some players I see having huge years that are under-rated on most draft boards:
QB:
Matt Stafford: As always, the "if he stays healthy" applies here. He can easily throw for 4,000+ yards with his weapons like MegaTron, Burleson, Pettigrew, Titus Young, and Best at RB is just as dangerous as a pass catcher. He has more pure passing skills than 90% of the QB's in the NFL and great touch in a throw-first offensive system. He is in a tough defensive minded division that could hold his numbers back slightly, but expect a big season.
Sam Bradford: He looked great as a rookie and with Josh McDaniels in town we can look for 50+ pass attempts per game. He lacks some of the proven WR's but has deep threats in Gibson and Alexnader, and the addition of Sims-Walker along with Amendola adds consistency to the group of young Wr's. Lance Kendricks will be a weapon at Tight End, another sleeper. The Rams get to face the 49ers, Cardinals and Seahawks twice a year, and I can see them putting up 30+ points in each of those games.
Mark Sanchez: I am ready for the Jets to take the kid gloves off and let Sanchez throw the ball more often and be more aggressive. Dustin Keller is a solid Tight End as a bail out option, while Santonio Holmes is as talented as most any WR in the game, and throw in a big tall receiver in Plaxico Burress and Sanchez has plenty of options. The Jets are going to be contenders and Sanchez should lead the way with a fine season.
RB:
Felix Jones: I was able to grab Felix in the later rounds in my early drafts but he is quietly creeping up draft boards. He can take it to the house on any given play and also dynamic as a pass catcher on screens with explosive speed and tough to bring down with arm tackles. Dallas will have competition in the backfield with Choice and Murray, but Felix is the clear #1 and I see him being a 1,300 yard and 10 touchdown back this year.
Matt Forte: He is currently ranked as the 11th best RB but I consider him the 7th best, especially in PPR leagues. Forte is consistent and will get 85% of his teams carries, a rarity these days with all the 2 RB systems. I expect the Bears to be in a bunch of close games and try to force their will on teams through the running game, obviously keeping the ball out of Cutler's hands is a positive to avoid all those poor decisions.
Marshawn Lynch: Beast Mode is currently ranked the 34th best back, yet he is his team's clear #1 and people forget he is still young, and has plenty of tread left on the tires. Seattle added Robert Gallery and has beefed up the O-Line, great for the running game, which will be relied upon without a great option at QB. Lynch should put in a Top 20 RB season.
WR:
Denarius Moore: The rookie Raiders WR coming out of Tennessee in the 5th round is starting to see some attention in drafts. He has been a big time playmaker through camp and the preseason, coming out of nowhere to likely being the #1 WR on opening day. Oakland has two solid RB's with McFadden and Bush and playmaker deep threat with Jacoby Ford. Jason Campbell should have plenty of open WR's on play-action passes and Hue Jackson will be far more aggressive offensively as the Raiders new coach. This kid can flat-out play, and could be a late round pick making an impact on your team this season.
Jeremy Maclin: Pre-Season concerns on his health have him slipping to later rounds in drafts, but the Eagles WR is a go-to target and with Desean Jackson and Steve Smith in the fold, should have plenty of 1 on 1 looks. He broke out last year and should continue to build on that this season.
Great new blog, keep the info coming.
